Hi, I'm Kathy!

I’m originally from Northwest Washington and moved to the Bay Area in 1986. My parents were avid outdoor people so I grew up backpacking and exploring the Olympic and Cascade mountains and the Puget Sound. I enjoy a variety of sports such as biking, snow skiing, kayaking and scuba diving.

I have always loved kids! I have 11 grandchildren and a long history of working with children of all ages. I’ve taught swimming lessons, coached swim teams and taught and coached gymnastics.

It is a well known fact that kids these days are often disconnected from nature and sometimes have few opportunities to explore the natural world. For this reason I decided to create a camp where kids can feel more connected and play, explore and learn about nature.

My goal is to give children a chance to be in nature to learn about themselves and their natural surroundings while playing and having fun.
